Arthur's Seat from Figgate Park
Summer continued in Edinburgh today, so we went for a bike ride. Our objective was Portobello, via the cycle paths that run from the Commonwealth Pool. It was warm in the sun, but pleasant in the shade. We went west along the prom dodging the sun worshippers. People were working on their Scottish tans, crimson on a peely-wally base, after the cloud and rain of the past few weeks. Not a good look, but it will fade. We went back via Figgate Park, where a wild flower meadow has been planted. The poppies, daisies, buttercups (amongst others) look good, with a slightly unusual view of Arthur's Seat behind.
