The Odeon

Sadly this old, long disused, cinema isn't going to be around much longer. It's been standing empty for years and later this month, or at least this summer, it, and a load of shops nearby are going to be flattened and replaced by more shops and flats.

Word is they're going to attempt to remove the girls from the front of the cinema and use them in the new construction - it remains to be seen if they're successful - I do hope so......

I don't recall going there very often but do remember going to a couple of their late night showings - The Rocky Horror Show and The Blues Brothers. The late night shows used to be a tad raucous ....
