Happy #19

4am departures don't normally make me happy, but when they mean you get to enjoy a second breakfast on the shores of Lake Windemere at the time you're normally finishing the school run, then I can be persuaded.

These three people make me happiest of all.

Happy and proud that Mr G finished the Great North Swim 5km race in a new personal best time, despite having been up since 3 and driving all the way there.

I'm not sure what the word is - relieved? grateful? lucky? - for the feeling that it wasn't our family wrecked by the tragedy of events later that day. My heart goes out to them.
