Evening sun...

Bloody car.

On my way to work, the exhaust decided to fall off. Not completely, just partially. It was still scrapping along the ground as I was trying to pull off the road (en route to Blackford Hill to take some quick photos before work). What a horrible sound.
Moments earlier something had flown off, from under the car, and shot across the road, and shortly before that, the slight throaty sound from under the car, started sounding louder......

The 24 hour recovery guy I found online was fantastic, and was with me within 20 minutes. He tied it up, and escorted me to a garage, where, thankfully, it was just the brackets and rubber bit that had come off.

Another bonus was that the garage was not far from my work, so I could leave it there while I got on with my day.

Apart from that, Monday wasnt so bad - well, if you discount the bird that the cat brought in at work (alive). I had to dispose of it (dead) as no-one else would go near it. Is that in my nannying remit, I wonder?

After work, it was off to another job for a few hours. Nothing more taxing than playing with the children, sitting in the garden, soaking up the last of the sun, putting the kids to bed and taking photos of the rosemary in the garden. Thank god for their beautiful garden, otherwise I'd be stumped for a blip.

Here's hoping Tuesday will be less car stressful!
