Still life with cornets

Okay, I'm cheating, I didn't take this one today. But I did LightRoom it today. More from the brass players' workshop: a group of young players had abandoned their music and instruments to go and get tea and biscuits.

I shot this with my pocket camera during the tea break. I didn't want to use a flash, so I had the speed turned way up. I like the way the noise and grain makes almost painterly images.

Two minutes after I snapped it, a gale of excited children came by, swept up all their musical gear and went back to making music.
