Wee nutters

Puffins have no hover capability - which makes them hilarious to watch. They take off by just falling off the cliff and then flapping their wings furiously until they attain good airspeed.

Landing is even better. It's more of a controlled crash than a landing really - and if they need to carry out a go-around, then they almost thrash their poor wee wings to a frenzied destruction!

Another one of those simple things in life which brings so much joy.
