Golden Oldie?

On Saturday I picked up this book "Requiem for a Wren", by Nevil Shute, in one of the charity shops on Gorgie Road. I'm about a third of the way through it and it's already given me lots to think about!

The book was originally published in 1956, and is definitely a product of the post-war era. Very different to more modern novels. Well worth the 50p I paid for it.
