No More War

As Iraq starts what appears to be a descent into hell, worries are growing on this side of the ocean about the possibility of yet another US involvement in that arena. I hope leaders everywhere remember lessons from the past couple of times.

A handful of protesters (from corepink.org) assembled in front of the White House today to appeal for a 'no boots on the ground' approach, while former neo-cons who got the US into the previous (and current) wars are increasing their pressure.

As one of the signs says: "No US war in Iraq: been there, done that."

[on the lighter side of things: both the US and French teams won their World Cup games. Woot woot!]
