Mono-Monday: Through the Window
This is yet another photo of the hospital. This time you see a central courtyard that was created when new buildings were added to old. This shot was taken from an adjacent corridor that has windows that look out over the courtyard. The windows across the courtyard are patient rooms.
This hospital, where I have worked for 35 years, is also the place where I met and was courted by my husband. He was a 3rd year medical resident and I was a brand new nurse. One of our favorite old movies at that time was Dr. Zhivago, and while we were dating, he gave me a little music box that I still have, and it plays Lara’s Theme.
(Ear Worm Alert) “Lara’s Theme" also called “Somewhere my Love” remains to this day one of the most recognizable movie themes ever written. And here’s a little more movie trivia: A music box plays Lara's Theme at the beginning of the film The Spy Who Loved Me.
This is my very convoluted way of meeting both challenges today: Mono-Monday: Through the Window hosted by Rainie and DDW’s At The Movies: Dr. Zhivago
