Confronting
Morning spent with Anna's class on a school trip to what was at one point the largest Hindu temple outside India. Very impressive story of how it was built and it is a really magnificent building. But I do find being around people who talk about religion as fact a little challenging. Especially to 8 year olds. And I wasn't wild about separating the boys and girls for the ceremony and the girls sitting at the back. As you can see my 8yo was just happy I was there which was nice.
The other confronting part of my day was when two yoofs jumped out at me as I was running around the park this evening. Fortunately I had sort of anticipated / expected it as I approached them so I managed not to scream. But it was disconcerting and I did think afterwards that my instinctive reaction to mutter tossers under my breath wasn't necessarily the smartest response.
At least I managed to hold my tongue in the temple.
