Continuing my tradition of blipping the first Large Skipper in the garden, here is 2014's arrival, a full two weeks ahead of the last three years.

In 2011 it was July 2nd, July 5th in 2012 and last year July 4th.

I did see one last week in Lancaster, and on Saturday down the hill in Tong Park, but this is still an early one for us up here on Baildon Moor.
