Dr Zhivago

OK, let's try to get from my blip to DDW's challenge for today without too many degrees of separation.

One of the themes of Dr Zhivago is about being patriotic - was it patriotic to mourn the overthrow of the Tsar and his family or was it patriotic to fight for 'better' lives for all?

So that brings us to the World Cup. I am Irish so no patriotic supporting needed from me this time. Living in England means that supporting England is an obvious. So if England are playing I will support them. But with family in Ghana, their match tonight against the USA demands a patriotic flying of the Ghana flag, and there we are at my blip.
