Gloucester Quays

I had a lovely day out at Gloucester Quays with Annie who I work with in the charity bookshop. Lots of renovation has gone on here and many of the old warehouses have been made into super modern flats. There are lovely coffee shops, restaurants and bars and lots of picturesque canal boats and sailing vessels. To my excitement there was also an outlet mall, beautiful marble flooring and lots of high street shops, definitely worth a visit nearer Christmas.

In contrast there were also some very old decrepit canal boats and a few untouched warehouses and an overgrown area. I have been told that this is for filming purposes and I can certainly imagine some of the rougher parts featuring in a Victorian drama.
