Unwelcome guests

Rather than just one unwelcome guest - as you unfortunately learn to expect on occasion - today we had thousands. The place was literally swarming with them. They arrived at about 3 pm and quickly took up residence in the wall in the courtyard, just above our barbecue.
Sablieres Support in the form of Guy soon swung into action and the bee-man was called. Phillipe lives in the commune and keeps about 100 hives - at least he did until a lot were stolen earlier this year.
He arrived within the hour but sadly when he saw where they were said that there was nothing to do other than to kill them. To this end we will visit Joyeuse to get the requisite bee-killing kit. We would not want to do this but there seems no choice.
Talking with Phillipe was fascinating - I hadn't realised the scale of the operations. He usually gets two tonnes of honey from his hives each year!
