Farming in the 1920's...
I came across these very small and in some cases badly damaged prints while clearing out my mother in law's home after she passed away. They were taken on and around the farm that she grew up on in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have been "restoring" them by running them through LR, Silver Efex and an enlarging program and was able to get them up to 8 x 12 print size. Some of the things that are portrayed are my husband's grandfather combining with an eight draft horse team and washed out roads after a very bad flood. I wish that I was able to find out who took these images but there are no marks of that kind on them and anyone who might know isn't alive. I'll be sharing these with the family this summer as well as with the current owner of the farm. When I go I plan to take my Yashica D and shoot some film of what remains of the old buildings. Should be fun...
