Dr. Zhivago

Well, this is a bit of a stretch ... obviously I didn't take this picture in the middle of June! However, I did take it earlier this winter in the midst of the Polar Vortex, and I fiddled with it and tweaked it today, so I reckon that's close enough to satisfy the rules. This is a view of our big barn, seen through the bedroom window on a frigid February morning.

This makes me think of those amazing scenes in the movie when the Zhivago family travels by train through the snow-bound Urals to Varykino, and also later in the film when Yuri and Lara seek shelter in that incredible iced-over dacha.
