How Awful!

I stay with a friend who lives in Paphos. She had a beautiful view from her verandah (top photo) of the blue Mediterranean sea and the view is now a building site (bottom photo). I don't think there are any planning laws in Cyprus - if there are they don't seem to be effective.
My friend plans a trellis with trailing plants to block out the view.
