Growing old disgracefully

WELL, IT'S NOT A BEE

I have become fascinated by flies. I suppose that's what can happen when you are wandering around the garden at 5.30 am, while the insects are still drowsy and drying their wings in the rising sun.

There was a gentle rain overnight and the garden was glad of it. I worked a bit before breakfast - hoeing and planting. Then on to yoga and thence to the University for a meeting with an inspirational colleague before lunch out with the Professor. I peaked too soon and had to have a siesta under the pine tree.
