A TastyMorsel

We went walking in the nature reserve today and took one of the footpaths that we don't normally take, it lead us to a small copse that the river ran through around several small islands. It was really beautiful in there and so peaceful as all we could hear was the river running over some rocks and the birds singing. The islands were joined by several wooden bridges which were really cute but the only problem was the steps up to the bridges were enormous and I felt very dubious about tackling them with my bad back and dodgy hip but I was persuaded to give it a go by hubby and the fact that I wanted to explore the place and now I'm paying the price because I'm struggling to walk around. I hate being beaten by anything and I'm actually glad I did because the place was so lovely but it's been too uncomfortable to sit at the computer - hence the late blip. I don't think it's anything too serious and I'm sure it will loosen up again in a few days but it's times like this that I wish I was twenty years younger, I would have been able to tackle all of the bridges without a second thought :-))
