A Man's Day...
...And a handmade card.
I wasn't going to blip it, because
a) it's a hopelessly blurred image and
b) I promised Himself that I wouldn't show the world his image...
But hey. I'm guessing that no one noticing him in the street will mention his passing resemblance to a Quentin Blake character?
Despite having had very little sleep since Christmas for a while :-/
I'm still hoping to happen upon some natural solution.
I've tried lavender oil on the pillow (fab for a couple of hours sleep, and extremely fragrant).
I've tried long looong walks and fresh air (very good for the legs and lungs).
I've tried staying up late, hoping for sleep to overcome me (seems I can entertain myself all night long; reading, drawing, painting, writing and cooking).
I've tried going to bed early, to catch an earlier biorythym(?) - (that one caused much huffing and puffing and Serious Alertness).
I've tried listening to meditations (fab for dropping off, not so good for staying asleep - and don't earphones cause achey ears?).
And mindfulness...(Oh yes.. Mind very full!)
I've tried all manner of alternative therapies too (some of which do work for an hour or two).
So.
It appears to be official.
I have the stamina of Margaret Thatcher.
(And the eyes of a mole).
I hope the men in your world have felt appreciated today.
And I feel for those who miss the men who are no longer here to be appreciated.
