They that goe down to the sea in ships

I often pass this carved stone, on the side wall of Trinity House in the Kirkgate. I've tried to blip it in different lights but can't get the inscription to be any more readable than it is with the naked eye. Still, I could make out the first bit and thought it had a biblical ring...sure enough, it's  Psalms 107:23-30:

"They that goe down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep."

Leithers have been going down to the sea in ships for a long time. These days the nearest most of us get is a peek at the cruise ships in the dock from the warmth of Ocean Terminal.
