Looking through a lectern

I'm not sure how to describe this picture really. I took it today while we were at Easby near Richmond. We went for a walk round the 'Easby Loop' which goes from Easby into Richmond and back along the old railway line. Next to Easby Abbey is St Agatha's Church. It is a beautiful, simple, ancient little church - very calm and peaceful. As I was wandering around, I saw a lectern with a hole in the side and when you look through the hole you can see into the side chapel. On the wall of the side chapel is a plaque and cross in memorial to a young man who was a soldier in the Great War.
