Birdseed
Each day I go out and fill up the various bird feeders I have around the garden. This is something I have down since I moved into this house around 8 years ago.
Initially I had only a few birds visit and they were generally the more common species of birds such as Blackbirds, Sparrows, Starlings and the like.
With time, and experimenting with different types of seeds, I have been fortunate enough to attract many different species to the garden such as Siskins, Goldfinches, Blackcaps, Bullfinches, Goldcrests and even a Woodpecker.
Our feathered friends really do need our help, especially during these cold winter months, when available food is scarce. For a small investment in seed you will be repaid tenfold with the enjoyment of watching the birds go about their daily life.
