Guildford Arms

Over in the Capital tonight, out for a Day at the Races down in Musselburgh tomorrow.

Once we’d settled in to our accommodation (cases tipped out, beer and wine in the fridge) we headed out in the fine weather for some much needed refreshment at some of Edinburgh’s finest. Seems everybody had similar ideas and the city centre was buzzing with locals and tourists alike, all kicking off the weekend in style. Settled for a bit in the cozy Guildford Arms here, enjoying some nice ales and a bit of chat, with the World Cup being played out in the background with nary a glance until we realised the current champions were being well and truly humped, before the inevitable stop off for fish and chips eaten on the shoogly stagger back.

Good start to the weekend.
