San Diego Wasting money

Park and recreation is replanting this field in City Heights neighborhood. It will be a month before they open it. It will look good for a month and in another month it will be destroyed from over use. This is a joint use field with city schools. Last week the young children past time while in school consisted of throwing and kicking dirt at each other. The Parks department does not regulate how many people can use the field at at time. Most week days there are several hundred people on the field playing soccer from 4PM to 10PM and on weekends from 10AM to 10PM. It is a shame that in poor areas of town that the grass is usually dead or dying while in the wealthier areas the grass is green. When I am in the wealthier areas I never see more 1 or 2 games taking place at a time w/ only a few spectators on the edges of the field.
