The Graduate

Good friends staying this weekend and relaxing in the wonderful weather .

The occupant of the hammock graduated at the same time as I did. She went to her graduation but I didn't. I just borrowed her robes and had my photo taken. I sent it to my parents, who displayed it proudly. It was many years later when I had the honour of presenting my students at university graduations that I realised, in my graduation photos, I was wearing a Science (Chemistry) graduate's gown and colours when I should have been wearing Social Sciences (Economics) colours! Luckily my parents were blissfully unaware of the deception.
