My flying pirate fairy

Today we attended an amazing birthday party for X, one of our daughter's classmates who turned 4. She had a pirate-fairy theme and upon receiving the invitation (which showed X in both a pirate costume and in a fairy costume), our daughter had said she didn't want to be a pirate or a fairy but a pirate-fairy. After some research we discovered there is a new Tinkerbell movie starring a pirate fairy - so I set up my sewing machine and prepared to make a pirate fairy costume. It still needs some minor adjustments to make it wearable on more occasions but it thrilled our daughter and created another everyday dress up outfit that goes in the wash and stays cool in the sun.
