the Green Man

met up with some friends at the Green man festival in Clun today. Never been before and were pleasantly surprised at what we found. In particular the mini-drama of the fight between the white queen (boo) and the green man, signifying the end of winter and the start of summer in the Clun valley.

You'll be pleased to know that the green man won, so summer is now upon us until she returns again (they didn't tell us when).
