don's last day

Had a leisurely morning before seeing Pierre off....he's away to Marseille for a couple of days.

Don and I went to the river for a couple of hours and then decided to drive to Vaison to go to Peyrerol chocolate shop and patisserie, then to do a bit of shopping in SuperU, then to Gamm Vert, and then mum's to pick up some food from her place. She left for Ireland today so she told me to go and get some perishables from her fridge - we got pâté, cheese, ham, tomatoes, milk - result! She's away home to Belfast for 10 days. Dad had to leave her to the airport in the end - she was meant to be getting the train - because all the railway workers have decided to go on strike today! Mum got the email at 6pm last night! Lots of notice!

Checked Don's train for tomorrow that's meant to take him to Lyon airport and it's cancelled too! Bloody nightmare. Have booked him on another train and we'll drive to Montelimar tomorrow and hopefully he'll get on that one. Fingers crossed!!
