The Kelpies

This stunning structure near Falkirk is a monument to the working horses that were used to haul ploughs and wagons, and also barges and coal ships on the canals in this area of central Scotland.
Built with a skin of stainless steel, each weighing 300 tonnes and standing 30 metres high, they are illuminated at night.
