Yesterday to visited the 'Super U' supermarket close to where we are staying to stock up on some staples for our stay in the gite. At the check out all the ladies were being given a rose to celebrate Mothers Day which in France is celebrated on the last Sunday in May. It was also a means of promoting the very beautiful florist shop inside the supermarket. This is the rose which I was given, a beautiful yellow rose which lasted for 12 days!
