Happy 40th Birthday

My wife Caroline has turned 40, and to celebrate we returned to the area where she grew up.

We're staying in a cottage in Matlock Bath (the white one nestled in the hill) where I got the shot of the cottage popping out to a local shop for supplies.

We went to The Heights of Abraham this morning by cable car, where we had breakfast and did some exploring.

After that we jumped in the car and headed over the Chatsworth House and explored the garden... The maze was a nightmare but satisfying to complete!

After more exploring we went to look at the Peak Train, which are steam trains pulling old slam door train carriages. We went from Rowsley to Matlock, and back again.

We then drove to Matlock had a little explore and then on to a lovely Italian meal in Viva. Great service and excellent food. Back to the cottage for the children to sleep and me to upload today's photos to Facebook!
