A Little Music from the House next Door...
The picture doesn't do the heat justice.
I was waiting for K, for our monthly Eat Fest... This is about 17 miles up the road from my beach - Arran looks totally different from this angle, but still recognisable. The sea always looks different from this coast - it sparkles and it appears so blue.
I was quite content to stand there in the heat, and heat it was, not just warmth.
Eventually she phoned; lost on the moors, like Cathy; I told her to follow the wind turbines... and then the sea. And I went in to hold our table.
As I stood at the reception, and a voice from deeper inside the restaurant announced, "Oh my, the most beautiful woman in the world is at the door". I turned round but there wasn't any one there, and I turned my head to the direction of the voice; and I smiled when I spotted G.
G is a mate of Boy. They were at school together and played football together. G was always a fan of my support at the football matches, and would greet me as enthusiastically. It was so nice to see him, and have such a giggle in public over his affection.
He brought me a lovely spritzer, and bounded over when K appeared and proffered her the same service.
And then K and I ate like pigs, as normal... And she still wanted to have another pudding!
We had a wee run up the road, got petrol, drove up a scary one track road and witnessed a man drag a body down the side of the hill.
And then I dropped her back at her car and I headed down the road.
K took a further 2 hours to get home, because for an hour she drove in circles
:-)
