World Cup Fever

While the 2014 Copa Mudial started yesterday, today was the day that mattered here in Mexico. Everywhere we went, including the Comex paint store shown here, was tuned to the game between Mexico and Cameroon. We quickly got swept up in the excitement and headed downtown to find a place to watch. Passing by several bars, we settled at El Murmullo a favorite dinner restaurant. Even though they were not officially open, the television was on and the beer was cold. Our favorite waiter even went down the street for a breakfast menu so we could soak up some of that 11:00 am breakfast beer. Mexico won, the molé enmoladas were delicious, and we were part of the biggest sporting event in the world.
