The Queen's Birthday

Well not really, its just her 'official' birthday, the day when we get Her Birthday Parade during which (this year) the colours of the Nijmegen Company, Grenadier Guards were 'Trooped'. It is also the day upon which the bi-annual 'honours' awards are made.

Public buildings are supposed to fly the Union Flag so full marks to East Grinstead ex-Services Club who are flying a most magnificent example today. Shame on both the Town and District Councils who seem to find this all a bit difficult to organise on a Saturday.
