shoes for the drayman

It is always worth looking upwards in this city. On my way home from working in a local primary school this afternoon, I walked past this long established city pub, situated just opposite one of our theatres, and just happened to glance up .....and noticed a pair of trainers slung artfully over the characterful pub sign. I had had another blip in mind for today but the unexpectedness of this little image caught my fancy...and reminded me that once Edinburgh was known for the three Bs.....books, biscuits and beer!
