Put a rhythm in your heart

The Big Meeting went well - phew! Still more work to do but with a broad general agreement so that's a relief especially for Friday the 13th with a full moon.

An afternoon spent with my best friend having lunch and meandering around. As I was waiting for him, I spied these two colleagues deep in conversation and thought how fortunate Scotland is that intelligent, able, funny women like these two are in positions of influence.

I watched a bit of the Mexico - Cameroon match. While I have a soft spot for Cameroon, I have Mexico (and Russia) in the office sweep and was delighted with how well Mexico played. I know my teams don't stand a chance of winning the tournament but I'm a firm believer in it's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game.

The evening was spent in delightful new company with one of the best vegetarian meals I've had in ages. I had assumed when I saw that all the dishes were veggie or vegan that the other invited couple must be veggie, too, but nope - it was all for me. I am a fortunate prairie gal.

This song has been fuelling my bike riding the past couple of days. For those of you who don't know Stephen Fearing, you're in for a treat.
