Michelangelo : The Pieta

During a clear out yesterday I came across this book which we bought in the Vatican some years ago, it's packed with glorious photos of incredible art and sculptures but when you look at the serenity and beauty of this, you're bound to wonder how one man could be blessed with such talent. no room for the slightest slip when he carved it and the end result is just breathtaking and sheer perfection:)
