Enjoying taking part in Bookadayuk on Twitter - a challenge to identify and then find an appropriate book for each day's theme- this was a bargain secondhand find. I adore the author's work for children and adults. "A Vicarage Family is the first of her thinly veiled autobiographies. This is the second. I had no idea that it existed. It practically flew off the shelf and I had to read it straightaway, even risking it in the bath! Each book ends with a family tragedy. I wonder if she wrote any more...
