Friday 13th! - The Curate's Egg.
I should have known, with it being Friday 13th, that things would not go according to plan.
Mum had an appointment at the fracture clinic this morning, it was chaotic! Hundreds of patients milling around, we queued for 20 minutes just to check in.
Two hours later she made it through the obstacle course of plaster off, X-ray and discussion with the consultant.
The good news: Her arm has started to heal - at last, and they have let her home plasterless.
The bad news: If it doesn't progress in 3 weeks she will have to have it pinned and plated.
The planned lunch date with a very special person failed to materialise.
The bad news: For the 6th time one or both of us has cancelled.
The good news: The home made wild garlic pesto and pasta, eaten alone, was delicious!
More bad news when The Dog ran off, but the good news was that by the time I returned, frustrated at not finding her, there she was in the garden all waggy and smiles!
And so the curates eggy day continued - until this evening when the highlight was meeting Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson!!!
The farm up the track from me is being used as the set for a film over the next month.
A gypsy camp has been created, where much of the filming is taking pace. I'll try and blip it tomorrow.
Have a great weekend blippers!
