I met up with a good friend today and we did coffee, chats and a walk along the river. This Harlequin ladybird gave me another chance to try out my new iPhone macro lens.
The Yellow Fever is really taking hold - the Tour de France Grand Départ is in evidence everywhere - posters, bunting, bikes painted yellow .... all vying, successfully I might add, with the English flags. The fields in the area around us are being turned into campsites, showgrounds, festival and gala venues. Roads will be closed, public transport diverted, rescheduled. I don't think I can really ignore it all. Thinking I might do a Blip countdown in the days leading up to the big event.
