my lucky day

I spent most of the day at my Rotary Club's fundraiser golf tournament in aid of MacMillan Nurses.

I know almost nothing about the charity and only slightly more about golf, but was happy to help out in any way I could. We raised about £2.5k, which seems pretty good to me for a group with just 14 members. Some members (not me) worked their socks off to make it a successful day.

My break was a trip to Glenrothes to visit a friend who is terminally ill. Difficult for me. Appreciated by him.

Work intruded very little into the day. I'll suffer for that on Monday.
