Between fen and mountains

Caillebotte

We went to Yerres today to the former house of the impressionist painter, Gustave Caillemotte. It was a good exhibition as his works had been collected from all over the world to exhibit in the house. The house is set in beautiful grounds which are now the public park. On the way I noticed the light on the river and took quite a few shots. When inside the museum, I then saw that the river and the light had inspired a good number of his paintings. I was not surprised as it was a beautiful spot and the light was special.
