Smooth Hawksbeard
Crepis capillaris - probably! It is certainly one of the Hawkish Complex, but there are lots and lots of hawkbits, hawkbeards and hawkweeds. I have gone for one of the most common with a oeaf that looks most like the illustration on the field guide. Tricky.
I like the little insect - no chance of being able to id that!
Been having a count up - should be able to blip my 50th type of plant tomorrow!!! Who would have expected so much variety on one (not very special) short stretch of Anglesey lane?
