True grit!

I have blipped another of my holiday shots Water power! ...... do hope you will take the time to have a look :-)

I need help identifying this Beetle ...... do hope one of you lovely blippers can help! :-)

This poor snail is showing 'True Grit' ........ not only has its shell got grit stuck to it adding weight ....... it also picked a rather rough bit of fence to climb up! Bet those splinters are in a very uncomfortable place!!!!!
