Friday the 13th!

There I was, 9.00am, nose pressed up against the lounge window looking longingly at the garden table and chairs, while the rain battered against the glass.

Sigh

Will summer ever come to these here parts?

This morning I was supposed to be photographing Eve, the 18 month old grand-daughter of a girl I went to school with (and who I haven't seen since we were 14!!)

Little Eve is lovely, a vision in blonde curls with a little button nose. I had planned to photograph her in the garden but the weather is so bad, there's not even enough light to get a decent indoor shot of her. We have postponed it till Monday. Fingers crossed the weather is a bit brighter then.

Nothing else for it, I'll just have use this dull afternoon to continue clearing out my photo files. Alternatively, since it's Friday, I could make myself a nice lunch, put my feet up, read a magazine, bake a cake..... I am giddy with the possibilities! ;-))

In other (lovely ) news, Ed's daughter in law gave birth to twins yesterday. A boy and a girl. He showed me a photo of them this morning. They are absolutely adorable. I almost shed a tear at the perfection of them. Two wee sleeping, chubby faces, one in a blue hat and one in a pink hat. Blissfully unaware of how absolutely exhausted their poor mum is! I hope I get the chance of a cuddle :))
