Sunset . . .

Down in the village this afternoon sorting out books for a big sale in the hall this weekend. It's another fundraiser - soup and puddings for Fathers' Day plus all the usual sales tables and so we're selling books again. J was there helping too and see had brought Scratch with her so Ollie had a bit of company and they had the whole hall to play in!

Mike and I watched the football in the evening, I got a lot of knitting done at the same time, and we watched as the sky outside got pinker and more orange so when the match was finished Ollie and I went to see it properly. Flat calm, eiders and their chicks at the water's edge, a beautiful night.

Well to be seen our neighbours are away - we've had goldfinches and green finches in the garden! They have several feeding stations and attract all sorts of birds who only come to us as a last resort!
