California Sister

Thanks to all of you for boosting my yesterday shot into the spotlight. That is a first in my nearly two year blipping. Given the nature of yesterday's subject, I would rather it not have been spotlighted, if it meant everyone was safe.

This butterfly is a California Sister, one semi-rare in Southern Oregon. I have a special place for butterflies after listening to America's premier butterfly expert, Butterfly Bob Pyle.
