There's No Place Like Home

The Wizard of Oz is one of my all-time favorite movies! I was enthralled from the very first time I saw it (probably about age 4 or 5) and it can still weave a spell for me. I remember singing "Over the Rainbow" along with Judy Garland, and wishing that I could sing a fraction as well as she. Her companions on the yellow brick road were like dear friends to me, as was her little dog Toto. This photo is of a piece of fabric that I bought and have tucked away for a special project to be decided at some future date. I made a quilt about three months ago using a different group of fabrics released in commemoration of the film's 75th anniversary this year.
