KINGFISHER FROM THE HIDE

I put the hide up today. Its a bit of extra effort but often the results are so much better - today was reasonable & I was pleased with the effort I put in. I've had better results but the thing that got me was the environment created by the hide. If those who have never done it its a worthwhile experience as you get cacooned in this darkened little place. You see things often not seen by being in the larger world.

Today for example I was in an estrine area with a couple of walking tracks nearby. Sitting waiting for kingfishers when this middle-aged woman walks a long the track and squats down with a cup of coffee and something else - I later recognised as a smoking pipe for P or some other synthetic drugs. She had a great time - puffing away - absolutely oblivious of me in my hide only 20 metres away. Well here's one for the pipe smokers !!
